SYDNEY — Jane Jasper’s store in Paddington’s Five Ways is home to an incredible selection of handpicked pieces – from gasp inducing investment pieces by Balmain and Proenza Schouler, perfect basic sheer cotton tees, and future heirlooms by local jewellery wunderkind Jordan Askill. Says Jasper, "I didn’t want to be guided by price brackets or target markets, I just wanted to collect a selection of clothes that felt relevant and desirable right now, and to create a beautiful light-filled space where people want to be, myself included. I didn’t know if I was being incredibly naïve but I thought if I made a space that I liked being in, then other people would like it too".

She’s not naïve – she’s just right. The store, which is named after her favourite author Edith Wharton’s summer home, is a testament to the power of the thoughtfully selected garment and a beautifully edited wardrobe with a view to the long term – all with a sense of fun, of course.
